Galateo of Spaces is a proprietary design method that brings together history, sociology, and architecture to read space as a grammar of relationships.

The word Galateo is intentionally kept in Italian. It is not simply translated as “etiquette”, because the method does not refer to a set of formal rules or good manners. In the Italian cultural tradition, Galateo carries a broader meaning: it is a code of coexistence, a way of organizing gestures, distances, rituals, forms of representation, social recognition, and ways of living together.

Applied to space, this code becomes a design tool.

Through a framework based on gestures, devices, materials, and rituals, every environment is decoded before being designed: what it makes visible, what it protects, which behaviours it authorizes, which forms of relation it supports, which social desire it interprets, and which memory it builds.

The project does not begin with style, but with an understanding of how space participates in social life.
